SAINT PAUL, MN – Today, Rep. Erin Murphy (DFL-64A), former MN House Majority Leader and DFL candidate for governor, received the endorsement of the Minnesota DFL Latino Caucus. This endorsement adds to Murphy’s broad support, which includes Women Winning, the Minnesota Nurses Association, the DFL Disability Caucus, the Minnesota and Twin Cities chapters of Our Revolution, and more than 60 local elected officials from across the state.
Rep. Erin Murphy released the following statement:
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the DFL Latino Caucus and proud to stand side-by-side with them as we build our bright future. To build that bright future we must dig in on the toughest issues in front of us. We must confront racial inequities, acknowledge structural racism, and commit to ending opportunity gaps for communities of color. As Governor I will do just that, and I’ll do it in partnership with the people of Minnesota. It’s why I continue to grow a diverse coalition of support that will help propel us to victory in November, and more importantly, make change that improves the lives of Minnesotans.”
From the DFL Latino Caucus Announcement:
“The DFL Latino Caucus is proud to endorse Erin Murphy as our next Governor of Minnesota. Erin is the only candidate with the proven track-record of working shoulder-to-shoulder with our Latinx and immigrant community to improve the lives of all Minnesotans. Erin’s consistent, honest, and respectful leadership has allowed her to build authentic relationships with diverse constituencies throughout our state. This rich experience grounds her advocacy and fuels her voice – she is the Governor we can rely on to build the Minnesota we dream of.”
