Press Release: Murphy Shares Progressive Vision for Healthcare, Working Families, and Connecting Across the State During Mankato Debate

MANKATO, MN— Today, Erin Murphy, DFL-Endorsed candidate for governor, outlined a bold progressive vision for the future of Minnesota at a debate hosted by the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities, Greater Mankato Growth, and Greater Minnesota Partnership.  The debate covered a wide variety of topics.

Erin Murphy On Healthcare:

“The #1 issue that I hear from people living on farms is healthcare and the cost of healthcare.  I’m a single payer healthcare supporter. It’s time for us to lead the nation again like we did 26 years ago when we passed MinnesotaCare.”

Erin Murphy On Connecting Across The State:

“I’ll open regional offices – eight of them - because it’s time for us to stitch ourselves back together again. One way to do that is to connect government to the lives of Minnesotans. It’s important for bridging that feeling of being left behind.”

Erin Murphy On Greater Minnesota Development:

“It’s time to connect Minnesota.  It’s time to finish this job. Broadband is critical to commerce, health care, and keeping Minnesotans connected to one another.  We know that disparities between urban and rural on broadband are real. We have to get this done.”
